HALLO SCHOOL
(hallo is hello in German/deutsch)
This is DJ and I have another post for you all.
This one is about the ANZACs 100th anniversary

What have I learned about WWI

I didn't know that much about WWI, I knew a lot more about WWII, so I had a lot to learn. The first thing I learned was that the ANZACs landed at the wrong place where the Turks (Turkish soldiers) had all the advantage because, they could just shoot them from above.
The next thing I learned was that over 20,000 New Zealand and Australian soldiers died, and over 30,000 Turkish soldiers died. Now that's a lot of people.
The last thing I learned (well not actually the last thing) was that after the ANZACs retreated because they knew they couldn't win at the fight there, the were shipped of to right in other places so it was pretty much non-stop fighting.

Did I attend any ANZAC day events

No I did not, but I did watch the ANZAC day memorial on TV

Do I think it's a good idea to commemorate these types of things

Yes, yes I do

That's all I got See ya next post bye
